The Parade is the grand event that the entire community awaits! Always celebrated on the last Sunday in June, the Parade is an extravaganza filled with Puerto Rican culture, music, marching bands, decorated floats, and dancing groups from around the region. These groups join government officials, and religious, business and community leaders in marching through Downtown Camden to the Waterfront.
San Juan Bautista, or Saint John the Baptist, is the patron saint of Puerto Rico. On the island, each town celebrates fiestas patronales, which are Patron Saint Festivals. Many towns have additional festivals honoring cultural icons like Bomba y Plena, Danza, Salsa, and popular crops such as plantains and coffee. Puerto Rico puts a premium on celebration!
